TIMES: 9A • 11A • 5P (communion service)

LOCATION: 26862 Crown Valley Pkwy, Mission Viejo, CA 92691

Our three services are the primary way we gather as a whole church. Our weekly Sunday gatherings are a central to who we are as a church, as we seek to follow Jesus and love others like he did.

Because we want to both glorify God and grow in our faith together as a church, we often say we are a place for the curious and the convinced.

We gather to worship together, learn and apply lessons from the Bible, receive communion, and pray for one another. Communion is offered once per month at all services and every week at our 5P service.

With music, drama, and storytelling, kids learn about God’s love every week in Mariners Kids. We offer programs for kids during each of our worship services (9a, 11a & 5p). Our Safety Team provides dedicated coverage to ensure our Mariners Kids areas remain secure. With programs for ages infant through fifth grade, each child is taught in an age-appropriate, loving environment.

Junior High (6th, 7th and 8th grade students) meets every Sunday during services at 9A, 11A & 5P to connect in relationship with each other and with Jesus through games, worship, a message, and small groups. We want every student to have a place to be themselves and feel like they belong.

High School students are invited to join HSM in main service on Sundays at 11a - we sit in the front left area of the main worship center.

Mariners MV is an independent, fully self-sustained member of the Mariners family of churches. We are a community of ordinary people from all walks of life courageously trusting Him to do the extraordinary. Simply put, we’re trusting Him to do what we can’t – heal, transform, renew, forgive, provide and sustain. Through our stories, He is glorified, lives are changed, and our communities are impacted.

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, Mariners MV welcomes you.

Jeff & Amanda.jpg

Jeff grew up an Orange County kid who started asking questions about God in junior high. During those years of wondering and identity-defining, Jeff’s budding walk with Jesus began. It was some time later, however, while attending UCLA and being among people who were addressing his same early search in a far more sophisticated manner than he ever could have anticipated, that something new emerged within him.

People were challenging the church, God, truth, beauty and even suffering with a fresh and potent curiosity. Many, it seemed, were foraging for something they couldn’t define. It seemed as if they were looking for something that felt a lot like Jesus, only, they weren’t aware of it. It was then that Jeff committed to giving a voice to that unnamed longing – pointing people to Jesus. It was also at that time where he began to sense God nudging him toward a career in full time ministry.

Not long after graduation Jeff joined the staff of a local church and married Amanda in 1999. Together, they live in Mission Viejo along with their three kids and a hyper-affectionate labradoodle. Jeff has been the lead pastor at Mariners Church, Mission Viejo since 2013 and calls it one of the “great joys of his life.”
