A new opportunity to connect, serve, give, and fearlessly change the world.
The vision of Mariners Church South County is to serve the communities of South Orange County in new and bigger ways by equipping and sending out church leaders to transform our county.
A Note from Erin Kerr
I truly believe that the church is the hope of the world. My life has been forever changed by the love of Jesus and His church family. Growing up, it was the church family that helped me understand that hope had a name: Jesus.
My wife, Joy, and I are humbled and excited to launch a new Mariners Church this fall in or around Mission Viejo.
We want people, near and far from God, to know His love and take their next step with Him and His church family, so that their lives and our community would be transformed, one life at a time.
Who will lead the church?
Erin Kerr, who is currently part of the inaugural Mariners Church South County lead pastor training program, will lead the next Mariners Church in or around Mission Viejo. Erin and his wife Joy have extensive experience in various ministries in outreach, discipleship, launching a satellite church campus, and church planting, and have been mentored by some of the most generous and gifted church leaders in Orange County.
When and where will the church meet?
Our target soft launch is September 2018 with grand opening launch in January 2019. Real estate professionals are currently undergoing careful research areas north of Crown Valley Parkway and south of El Toro Road for both near-term and long-term locations.

How can I help?
A church isn’t the building, it’s the people. Our prayer is that 250 people make a 6-12 month commitment to being part of the next season Mariners Church in this area by praying, serving, attending & giving.

MEET ERIN & JOY KERR
Erin and Joy Kerr jokingly call themselves “TEAM KERR” because that’s how they approach life and ministry. God has truly brought them together to serve as lifelong partners on God’s mission.
Erin is a courageous pastoral leader, who seeks to love people wherever they are on their faith journey. He has a track record of dynamic leadership and gifted preaching, launching new ministries, and equipping teams who seek to fearlessly change the world together.
Erin loves spending time with his beautiful wife Joy and three daughters. When he isn’t enjoying family time, he’s consuming too much coffee, trying to fit in a CrossFit workout of the day and praying a little too hard for his Dallas Cowboys to rise out of mediocrity.
Joy is a committed wife, mother, and ministry leader who earned her bachelors degree from Biola University. She has extensive ministry experience having served at multiple churches, in a range of roles. Joy is a disciple maker with a love for small groups, serving women, prayer, and gathering people together. She loves all things music, dancing, and Zumba.
